The 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training program at Yoga4All is a natural continuation of yoga studies for those students who have clearly dedicated themselves to yoga and to teaching. The program will assist participants in integrating the many aspects of yoga to better serve their students and themselves. Yoga4All has partnered with Lillah Schwartz, Master Yoga Teacher from Asheville, NC, owner of Lighten Up Yoga, to offer Tampa Bay students this unique opportunity. Her hundreds of hours of study in the U.S. and India with senior Iyengar instructors, makes Lillah one of the most accomplished yoga teachers in the Southeast region. She pioneered the Iyengar method in North Carolina from 1981-2009, and held an Iyengar teaching certificate for 23 years. Lillah brings the science and spirit of Yoga Wisdom to thousands who have become pain-free from her alignment-based instruction.

NEW!!! IAYT Certified Therapist Grandfathering – you must start the certification program before January 2014.  We are offering a one-time only opportunity to get your 500 AND your IAYT simultaneously.  For details visit our IAYT Certification page.

Grand Parenting for Certified Yoga Therapists as defined by IAYT.

Most of the current yoga therapist programs of IAYT member schools are 300 hour programs with a minimum admission requirement of a 200 hour teacher training. The following guidelines thus principally apply to these and similar programs.

Graduates, as well as current and prospective students of these 300 hour yoga therapy programs, will be required to demonstrate an additional 150 hours of training and/or experience for grandfathering. More specifically: a minimum of 150 hours of mentored yoga therapy practicum through their school, over and above the minimum 300 hours of training.

The 300 hour programs must cover a wide range of principles, techniques and applications of yoga therapy (sometimes called general or full spectrum programs) and not be limited to a single or limited focus, e.g., yoga for depression, or limited in scope to a single or limited number of techniques, e.g., yoga Nidra (sometimes called specialty programs).

  • This grand parenting of graduates of 300 hour program will extend to graduates who start their program at least by December 31, 2013.

The 4 private Skype Sessions will happen throughout the 1.5 years and covers weekend 13 with Graduation with Lillah the weekend of Novembet 7-9, 2014. Training can be completed in approximately one and a half years. 300 contact hours – Yoga alliance registered hours
