Lisa Recchione, MA, RYT500, E-RYT 200, KRI 200 Certified, has studied many styles of yoga and meditation including Hatha, Vinyasa and Kundalini. Lisa also holds a master’s degree in counseling. Lisa’s Hatha classes are tailored to the needs of her students offering challenge within the boundaries of safety. Lisa emphasizes alignment of posture and some flow and movement integrating breath, body and mind. Lisa teaches Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. This is a dynamic yoga which includes posture, movement, breath work, meditation and spiritual connection. Lisa also teaches yoga to people with special needs. Being a caregiver to her parents, one with Huntington’s and the other with Alzheimer’s, prompted Lisa to do extensive research on yoga and brain health and yoga for special populations, particularly Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. She is a teacher for of a Parkinson’s program through the Palms of Largo and teaches at many facilities throughout Pinellas County sharing yoga with people living with many different challenges including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, MS, TBI, Arthritis, Stroke, and others. Lisa has been researching brain health for years. She is a representative of the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation. She is certified in Hatha yoga and Kundalini yoga and offers therapeutic yoga in many facilities with special populations including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, MS, Stroke, Huntington’s, Depression, Anxiety, Insomnia, and more. She has a Master’s degree in counseling. Lisa is also certified as a Holistic Lifestyle Coach. Lisa has shared yoga with support groups and presented at educational events, and fundraisers.
